I've always been around kids, whether it was kids in my mom's daycare or kids that I babysat as a teenager or all my nieces and nephews. But none of it could prepare me for ups and downs of motherhood! I've been a mother for nearly 4 years and now have two kids, an almost 4 year old daughter and an almost 7 month old son. And everyday I'm surprised, amused, and even a little frightened by what becoming a mother has done to me!
What most surprises me are the things I find myself and other mothers saying to our children! I say things that make so little sense, nobody would ever possibly need to say such things unless they are in the presence of children! I often find myself thinking, "did I REALLY just have to say that?!"
